The “SAMSON V” was a steam-powered sternwheeler that was launched in 1937.
It pulled ‘snags’ or logs, which had become hazards to navigation, from the Fraser River. It retired in 1980.
It then became a floating museum at the boardwalk in New Westminster B.C.
The museum is currently closed.
